THE final weeks of term saw King’s Hall School pupils getting festive with plenty of carol singing.
Eight pupils from year eight travelled to London to sing carols at an Old Aluredian lunch in the Cavalry and Guards Club in Piccadilly, and hosted by King's Schools' headmasters.
The group then returned to the County Ground, Taunton, with the full senior choir, who performed carols for the Taunton Area and Somerset County Cricket Club Sponsors' lunch.
The musical festivities culminated in the annual King’s Hall School Carol Service in the chapel at King’s College.
Alongside the traditional carols sung by the entire congregation, the two prep choirs performed a number of pieces on their own, with 12 soloists.
A school spokesman said: “The choral singing throughout was exemplary and the sound blossomed in the rich acoustic of the chapel – a truly spine-tingling way to begin the festive season.”
