A COLLIE and his owner were left needing medical attention after being bitten by a dog in Minehead.
Police say a sandy coloured German Shepherd-type dog ran up and attacked a collie in Vennland Way and then also bit the owner, who tried to save his dog.
A man then approached and dragged the dog away, but failed to identify himself. He is described as being white, clean shaven, about 60 years old, 5'7 to 5'8 and slightly overweight. His dog was around nine or ten years old.
The incident happened at around 8am on December 30, but police have only released details today.
