HOMES were evacuated and a main road remains closed after a major fire which destroyed a furniture factory in Somerset last night.
Firefighters from across Somerset were sent to Derham’s Removals, in East Street, Chard at around 8.15pm.
They battled through the night to tackle the flames and the main A30 road is still closed this morning.
