STAFF at Mecca Taunton are going to a celebration event in the presence of the Princess Royal for their charity fundraising efforts.
The are attending the event at The Royal Horseguards Hotel tomorrow, Wednesday (March 11), to mark the company raising £500,000 for the Carers Trust last year.
The partnership between the charity and The Rank Group Plc, which owns Mecca and Grosvenor Casinos, began in February last year and involved dozens of different activities.
Throughout the year team members at the Taunton club organised events such as from 24/7 challenges to a Wear Your Onesie to work day, as well as volunteering to support local Carers Trust network partners.
Davina Warden, general manager at Mecca Taunton, said: “It’s a real honour we are being recognised for the fundraising work we do.
“I can’t say thank you enough to our team members and kind-hearted customers who have helped support with all our fundraising efforts over the last year.”
