WITH just weeks until the 2015 general election, Asda Taunton is hosting a hustings event for prospective MPs for the Taunton Deane constituency in the store café at 7pm tomorrow, Wednesday, April 1.

Registration for the event and questions to the candidates can be submitted in advance via the related link on this story.

Jeremy Browne MP, the current LibDem MP for Taunton Deane, is not standing again in this year’s General Election.

The candidates standing in May who will debate at the event are Neil Guild (Labour), Rebecca Pow (Conservative), Rachel Gilmour (LibDemt), Laura Bailhache (UKIP) and Clive Martin (Green Party).

Store manager Andy Bateman said: “We’re pleased that our local candidates have accepted the invitation to hold a hustings event here at Asda Taunton.

“Our customers are bound to ask the questions that matter to the people of Taunton Deane and I’m looking forward to a lively and informative debate.”
