LAST week was a busy and exciting week for the junior sports leaders at Court Fields Community School.
The events of the week included netball league finals, primary school swimming galas, a swimming gala and a year one multi-skills festival.
The junior leaders from year ten were involved in teaching, umpiring and organising all these activities for their own school and the local primary school groups.
Six teams were involved in the Tone School Sports Partnership High 5 Netball Finals, the winners of which were Staple Fitzpaine.
Two primary school galas were held on Wednesday, March 21 at Wellington Sports Centre for the 145 year four students.
Val Lambert, the organiser, gave the team leaders their specific tasks and everyone had great fun taking part in various relays.
The schools involved were Wellesley Park, Beech Grove, St Johns, Sampford Arundel, Rockwell Green and Nynehead.
In the afternoon year seven and eight from Court Fields were involved in their gala and ten junior leaders timed and scored the events.
7SK and 8CS were the ultimate winners of each year group and several records were broken during the event.
Friday afternoon saw about 100 excited year one students participate in lots of fun and skill activities run by 12 Court Fields Leaders with Danny and Alison from the Kid Zone.
This event was held at Wellington Sports Centre but was arranged by Tone school sports co-ordinator Sandie Bunyan.
