TAUNTON and Pickeridge Golf Club captains Roger Nation and Jill Paul raised £12,562 for Charity Research UK during their recently completed year in office.
Funds were raised through several organised events, including the club’s annual pro am and the captains’ charity golf day, with a musical evening and charity auction.
The cash will go towards trials in prostate and ovarian cancer research at Taunton’s Musgrove Park Hospital.
