OVER £1,100 was raised for the County Gazette-backed charity Somerset Unit for Radiotherapy Equipment (SURE) last week.
The money will help equip the Beacon Centre cancer at Taunton's Musgrove Park Hospital.
Donations included £771.50 from Samantha Fooks, who held a fun day in Chard, £110 from Mr and Mrs Cameron and £26.80 from Jean Manley.
There was £160.40 from the Beacon Centre, which included £12.10 from Bill Hanlon and family, and £10 from 10-year-old Molly Coles.
Collection boxes realised £50.61 from the Ashill Inn and £6.93 from the Limekiln Inn.
The total is £1,126.24 means £533,579 has been raised for SURE since it linked up with the Gazette.
