LANGFORD Budville Church of England Primary School said goodbye to its Year 6 pupils and a long-standing member of staff on the final day of term.
The annual Leavers Service was led by the children who shared their thoughts and memories of their time at primary school.
The school also said goodbye to long-standing member of staff, Mrs Rita Derrick.
Mrs Derrick has been a classroom assistant at Langford Budville for 28 years and in that time has welcomed countless children into school as she has worked with the Reception and KS1 children.
A statement from the school said: βIn her time Mrs Derrick has been a school governor and been a great example to all the other teaching assistants, she will be missed by staff and children alike.β
During the last week of term a surprise tea party was organised and Alison Appleyard - Bath and Wells Diocesan Advisor presented her with a plaque for her long service.
