Taunton Running Club gets £300 Mars Milk Play Fund award
A ‘RUN for fun’ club has won a handout from Mars – just in time to buy equipment for two new sessions.
Taunton Running Club will use the £300 award from the Mars Milk Play Fund to help buy gear for MumsRun and KidsRun training.
The club, set up in September 2014 and which has 245 members, meets five times a week and has a no-fee policy.
Michael Sharpe, who runs the club, said: “This donation from the Mars Milk Play Fund couldn’t have come at a better time as we really need some more equipment for our two new sessions.
“We can now afford to buy bollards, a stopwatch, a first aid kit and team bibs for these new members.”
