There is congestion at times on the Edithmead roundabout at Junction 22 of the M5 with holiday traffic arriving in the town - espcially around rush hour.
There are long tailbacks on the A38 in either direction in North Petherton due to ongoing roadworks but the wait this morning is only around 5-10 minutes. Traffic is backing up into North Petherton past Tesco at times while in the other direction there are queues down to the M5 roundabout and beyond. Allow extra time to get through at going home time.
Traffic on the M5 is currently flowing OK. However as we approach the bank holiday weekend traffic will increase especially on Sunday and Monday afternoons as visitors return home.
Beware if you are driving along Harp Road at Brent Knoll – five cars have come to grief and ended up in the ryhne or ditch this week.
