BISCUIT lovers can help a charity raise funds for a new building.

Taunton-based Compass Disability Services are asking people to help them in their efforts to win the 2015 Biscuit Wrapper Roundup collection - a nationwide recycling contest to see who can save the most wrappers from landfill.

There are £500 in charity donations on offer including a top prize of £125 to the winning location.

During the contest period, which runs until December 1, Compass will earn 4p for each biscuit wrapper sent in for recycling.

The organisation plans to use the cash towards a £100,000 appeal to convert a disused building into a wellbeing centre to help integrate people with disabilities, mental health issues and learning difficulties into the community.

You can drop off any brand of used biscuit wrappers - plus the other types of waste packaging such as any brand of plastic air fresheners and plug-in refills, air and home care product trigger heads, pumps and caps and flexible home cleaning wipe packs, coffee refill packs, coffee bean bags, plastic coffee jar lids, single serve coffee sticks - to the collection boxes at the Compass Disability Services offices at Unit 11-12, Belvedere Trading Estate, Taunton, during office hours Monday to Friday.
