THERE was a misunderstanding between the letters 'm' and 'h' during a callout for firefighetrs yesterday evening, Wednesday, October 7.
A fire engine was dispatched to the home of an elderly woman in Corfe after hearing that she was unable to isolate her portable gas heater.
However, when the crew arrived they discovered it was in fact a gas meter - and not a heater - which they made safe before leaving.
