CLOUDS will continue to hang over Taunton for the next few days with the area set to remain dry.

The fog this morning will make way for sunny intervals, before cloudy weather has its stay over the weekend.

In their South West summary, the Met Office said: "After a chilly start any mist or fog will steadily clear this morning. This will leave a dry day with patchy cloud and sunny spells. However a few showers are likely to be seen, mainly in the north."

The maximum temperature for the day is due to to be 16°C, before falling to 6°C overnight.

In tomorrow's forecast, the Met Office said: "It will be a dry and bright day with patchy cloud and some hazy sunshine. With a brisk easterly breeze it will feel chilly despite the sunshine."

The temperature is again set to peak at 16°C.

As for Sunday through to Tuesday, the forecast said: "Through the next few days it will remain dry with patchy cloud and plenty of sunny spells. It will however become windy and feel rather cool with some chilly nights."
