A MAN was thrown through a pub window and a police woman punched in the face during an early morning disturbance in Taunton.
Police were called to Bridge Street to reports of a fracas involving three men.
One of the men was thrown through the window of the Coal Orchard, which was closed at the time, causing extensive damage.
A police officer was punched in the face during the incident, close to Taunton Fried Chicken, causing her to fall to the floor.
A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and affray following the incident at 4am on Sunday, October 18.
He has been released on bail until December 1 pending further enquiries.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said: "We know there were several members of the public in the area at the time, some who assisted officers at the scene, and we’re asking for them to come forward."
Witnesses should call PC Adam Clapp via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101 and quote log number 5215021487.
