A baby and two adults had to be treated for smoke inhalation after a fire too hold in a Taunton flat yesterday evening.
Two fire appliances from Taunton attended the fire in a ground floor flat at Ruskin Close, Taunton just before 9pm.
The accidental fire was caused by the cooker. Crews arrived on scene and got to work with breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera to put the fire out.
A spokesman said: "Two adult occupants and one baby were suffering from smoke inhalation. An Ambulance was requested to attend to treat the casualties. Fire crews administered oxygen therapy prior to the arrival of the paramedics." The cause of the fire was accidental.
