ANYONE joining a gym last month helped a charity set up by the brother of a man murdered ten years ago.

Tone Leisure, which runs council gyms in the Taunton area, donated all its joining fees to Stand Against Violence, amounting to £1,050.

Adam Fouracre, who founded the charity after his brother Lloyd was killed on the eve of his 18th birthday in September 2005, said: "We are extremely grateful to Tone Leisure for their ongoing support.

"It was a fantastic surprise to hear what a large amount they and their new members had managed to raise within the space of a month and we are thankful to all who donated.

"This money will go a long way to supporting our objectives for this year and ensuring we can continue to deliver to young people, changing attitudes towards violence."

Juliette Dickinson, Managing Director of Tone Leisure, said: "Raising money for local charities has always been a passion within all our centres.

"Customers and staff have always been very charitable and we’d like to thank everyone for their continued support."
