A WOMAN was treated by paramedics after suffering smoke inhalation in a fire last night (Monday, November 23).
Firefighters were called to the fire in a home in Dorchester Road, Taunton, at around 10pm.
They discovered a small fire involving a cooker in the kitchen area on the ground floor of the property.
The home was heavily smoke logged and crews used one hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera to deal with the fire and positive pressure ventilation to deal with the smoke.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "An ambulance was requested to deal with one adult female suffering from smoke inhalation.
"The property was approximately 10% damaged by the smoke."
