Police have confirmed that road closures near Manor Camp Royal Marine base was due to a suspicious vehicle nearby, however the car had just run out of fuel. A man has been arrested.
A police spokesman said: “We closed the road close to the Cross Keys roundabout after a car was found parked close to Norton Manor.
"It appears that the vehicle ran out of petrol but, due to the location it was seen, we closed the road whilst we investigated further.
"The road was swiftly reopened after the vehicle was checked and all was in order.
“A man was later arrested for assaulting a police officer.”
