A RETIRED Taunton GP is heading to Scotland on Friday to revisit the scene where he has been arrested twice within the past year.
John Anderson is one of four Somerset Quakers off to Faslane Nuclear Submarine base, near Glasgow to protest at the Trident nuclear missiles stored there.
He will be joined at the gates of the base by Taunton nurses Fran Hicks and Gillian Coe, who is also retired, and Phil Parratt, from Bridgwater.
They are taking part for two days in Faslane 365, a year-long blockade of the base.
Mr Parratt said: "Quakers are against the use of nuclear weapons, and believe that past Quaker successes in reform movements - against slavery, capital punishment and many more - can be repeated with nuclear weapons."
