WOMEN from Somerset enjoyed an evening of socialising during a Ladies’ Night at Monkton Elm Garden Centre last Thursday.
The garden and pet centre hosted the event with businesses from across the South West who provided advice, free tasters and demonstrations to customers.
Andrew Pitman, store manager at the garden centre at Monkton Heathfield, said: “The Ladies’ Night was all about things that ladies love, so we had beauty experts on-site offering demonstrations on make-up, products and nails, as well as hairdressers offering free advice and demos of the latest styles.”
There were also representatives from Taunton Leisure, Quantock Equestrian, Somerset Activity Sports Partnership and Breeze Bike Rides for Women.
Models from Retail Therapy hosted a live fashion display wearing the latest looks from a variety of brands and award-winning florist Charlotte Murrant taught people to make their own door wreaths for Christmas.
Andrew added: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to all the businesses and customers who came along and made it such a fantastic night. We hope the event will become an annual date for people’s diaries.”
