Olivier Sarkozy and Mary-Kate Olsen

Olivier: 46.
Mary-Kate: 29.
Age gap: 17 years.

Mary-Kate Olsen is 17 years younger than her husband Oliver Sarkozy – the half brother of former French President Nicolas Sarkozy. The two wed in a small ceremony in New York in November last year and reportedly decorated their reception venue with bowls of cigarettes.

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones

Michael: 71.
Catherine: 46.
Age gap: 25 years.

Michael and Catherine have been married for 16 years since being introduced by Danny DeVito. Catherine told US magazine Parade in 2007 that when they met Michael said, “I want to father your children”. It worked: they have two children together, Carys and Dylan.

Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart

Age gap: 22 years.

They met at the Golden Globes in 2002 and have been together ever since. Calista, best known for her portrayal of Ally McBeal, told People magazine that the age gap “doesn’t factor” in their relationship at all.

English filmmaker Sam began a relationship with Aaron when he starred in Nowhere Boy, a biopic she directed about John Lennon’s childhood. Kickass star Aaron was 19 at the time and she was 42. The couple have two daughters aged six and four.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard

Johnny: 52.
Amber: 29.

The couple met on the set of The Rum Diary, and Amber told Teen Vogue in 2009 that playing Johnny’s love interest in the film was “the best experience” of her life. She turned fiction into reality when she married him in February 2015.

Crystal: 29.

After enjoying the status of Hugh’s “number one girlfriend”, Crystal became engaged to the Playboy owner in 2010. In 2011, she broke off the engagement five days before their wedding but the pair later reconciled and married in 2012.
