THE European Union referendum debate comes to Taunton this week.
South-West MEP Clare Moody will tell the public meeting hosted by Taunton Deane Labour on Friday (February 5) that we should stay in Europe.
Ms Moody will argue that being a core part of Europe has benefited Britain and that the EU has been a force for good.
She will say that remaining a part of Europe is vital if we want a stronger, better off, safer Britain that delivers opportunity for individuals and families, now and in the future.
A spokesman said: "Clare is passionate about making sure everyone in Taunton Deane has the ability to have a safe, secure job that can provide for them and their family and that they can benefit from the shared prosperity that being in Europe brings."
The meeting is at The Friends Meeting House, 13 Bath Place, Taunton TA1 4EP at 7.30pm on Friday, February 5.
