A MAN has been arrested following an armed robbery in Taunton, police have announced.
The 32-year-old was arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
The arrest follows an incident at the Texaco petrol station, on Wellington New Road, shortly after 1.10pm on Saturday, February 6.
Police say a man entered the petrol station shop and demanded that the woman behind the till hand over cash as he threatened her with a rounders bat.
The man left the shop with a quantity of cash and made off on a push bike.
The bicycle is described as a hybrid type with straight handlebars and thin wheels with a dark blue frame.
