IF you want to get your heart racing on Valentine's Day - Sunday, February 14 - how about a brisk run?

The annual Humdinger event starts and finishes at Wellsprings Leisure Centre, on Cheddon Road, in Taunton.

The Humdinger and Hurtle races follow the same route for about three miles until they split.

While the Hurtle returning via Gotton and Rowford, the Humdinger climbs to an eventual height of about 700ft.

Eventually runners reach Vollis Cross and follow a small section of the original route before ascending the new Humdinger Hill, heading through Lydeard Cross and dropping down to Duck Pond, passing the road to Fyne Court into Lodes Lane towards Kingston St Mary and back to Wellsprings via Upper Cheddon and Lyngford Lane.
