BECAUSE of the general on-going criticism of the NHS, I would like to relate my recent experience of surgery and after-care at Musgrove Park Hospital.

I was admitted last month for reverse geometry shoulder replacement surgery and recovery in Hestercombe Ward, at the new Jubilee building.

Aged 77, and having suffered a couple of strokes, my state of health is not robust.

From the consultant to the lady who brought the tea, I was treated like royalty and cannot speak highly enough of the professionalism and care of all the staff with whom I came into contact.

My grateful thanks to all who were involved.
