TRAFFIC has been running as smoothly - if that's the right word - as usual along Taunton's Station Road today (Friday, May 27).
Work to remove the disused rail bridge finished yesterday lunchtime - a day ahead of schedule.
But workers will be back in a few months to move a replacement road bridge into position.
It will link the two ends of the Northern Inner Distributor Road being built between Staplegrove Road's junction with Chip Lane to Priory Avenue.
Look out for Bridge Watch 2 on this site later in the year.
