CHILDREN at Taunton’s Kiddi Caru day nursery have been celebrating the summer solstice.
In honour, the staff and youngsters have worked hard to design, build and paint their own version of Stonehenge.
The children also discussed Stonehenge, its location and how people celebrated the summer solstice in days gone by.
Julia Lofthouse, nursery manager, said: "The children loved working on this project and were very excited to see the finished version.
"We are hoping that in creating our own mini Stonehenge in celebration of the solstice that this might mean the start of some lovely summer weather."
