MURDERS, detectives, secrets and intrigue…

September brings to the Castle Hotel, Taunton, two literary talks full of secrets and intrigue.

The first on September 15 with David Coubrough, past chairman of the Castle Hotel as he introduces his first novel Half a pound of Tuppenny Rice.

Based in St Ives, Cornwall, Grant Morrison, almost forty years later revisits the Cornish places of his youth to discover the truth about what had happened to bring annual summer holidays with a group of families to an abrupt end.

Household name, Alexander McCall Smith follows on September 27, when he talks about the highly successful The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency series which has now sold over twenty million copies in the English language alone.

He will also discuss little Bertie and the cast of 44 Scotland Street in The Bertie Project and savour the taste of Tuscany in a new stand alone novel, My Italian Bulldozer.
