Bus fire on A38 Taunton Road near Thurloxton sees firefighters and police called out
POLICE and firefighters were rushed to bus fire between Bridgwater and Taunton yesterday evening.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue service were called to the scene on A38 Taunton Road near Thurloxton shortly before 6pm yesterday (November 22).
One fire engine from Taunton and one from Bridgwater were sent to the bus fire.
On arrival crews confirmed one small fire in the front nearside wheel. Police were also called to the scene for traffic control due to the location of the bus on the busy stretch of road.
Crews put the fire out with one hose reel jet. The cause of the fire was believed to be accidental.
