Air ambulance called to Wood Street car park in Taunton after reports of fatal incident later turn out to be false alarm

Devon Air Ambulance Service landed at Wood Street car park in Taunton earlier this morning after reports of a potentially fatal incident. 

The crew surveyed the area but concluded that no incident had occured. 

A spokesman for Devon Air Ambulance service said at the scene: "We were called earlier this morning to a potentially fatal incident but after further investigation it is deemed that it was a false alarm. 

"No one has been harmed."
