REFUGEE Aid from Taunton (RAFT) received some help last week.
Year 7 students from Taunton School organised a jumble sale to raise funds for the charity.
Pupils and parents got involved and they raised a total of £188.59 to be donated.
Taunton School staff and pupils Isabel Hogevold, Charlie Way, Joe Neeve, Tyler Henderson and Josh Green visited RAFT to present them with the cheque. They also took unsold items from the jumble sale to donate directly to the refugees.
RAFT founder Federica Smith said she was delighted to receive these acts of generosity and promised, as requested by the children, to spend the money on toiletries and nappies for the refugees when the next delivery is made.
