SATURDAY’s Turkey Trot on Saturday at Taunton and Pickeridge attracted a full field of members who enjoyed the seasonal festivities on offer.

At the end of the day in Division One, Mark Langford was the winner but only after countback edged him ahead of Rob Darvell who had the same score, while Jon West was third with 39.

The second flight was headed by Kelvin Oxley with 44 points. Bob Irish was second with 42 after countback put him in front of Martin Sawyer who returned with the same score.

The third division was won by Helen Deaves with 45 points, two better than Martin Hooper on 43, ahead of Robert Hutchinson on countback.

On Tuesday, 43 T&P Ladies competed Christmas Bowmaker Stableford over 12-holes with two scores to count on the par fours and fives and three scores on the par threes.

A bonus 'Christmas Present' of five points for holing a shot from off the green and a bonus "Stocking Filler" of three points for holing a single putt on the green rewarded tactical play.

The competition was followed by the traditional mulled wine and mince pies.

At the end of a most enjoyable golfing occasions that was enhanced by the favourable conditions it was Val Hayward, Anna Rees, Chris Collins and Liz Cutler who were the winners with 95 points.

They were one ahead of Gill Jowett, Janet Smart and Maureen Hailes, while Mary-Jo Shepherd, Sue Walsh, Vi Gray and Heather Fletcher claimed third spot with 91.

The winner of the Fancy Golf Bag competition was Margaret Blackaller.
