A MANHUNT is underway following a suspected a hit and run in Minehead today.
The incident happened on Alcombe Road shortly after midday and involved a silver car.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were called to an incident on Alcombe Road where a car had been in collision with another car door, injuring a woman who was placing her child in her vehicle."
An eye witness has said that the woman suffered an injury and was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital for treatment, however the County Gazette is still waiting to confirm this with the South West Ambulance Service Trust.
Earlier this afternoon (Tuesday, January 10) Avon and Somerset Police tweeted: "Please help us identify the driver of a silver car involved in a hit and run on Alcombe Road today at 12:10. Please call 101 for PC 1983."
