THE Highgrove Nursery at Queen’s College has celebrated the first anniversary of its opening.
Highgrove, which caters for children from three months to three years, has proved a resounding success.
It celebrated it's birthday on Thursday, January 12.
Manager Mrs Donna Kershaw said: “The excitement of a new nursery has continued throughout the year with families eager to register their child to start with us.
“To date, we have nearly 100 families on roll with approximately 70 families currently using the nursery each week.
“We are nearly up to full capacity and that in itself speaks volumes.”
Mrs Kershaw added: “We have a team of very experienced and qualified staff and are so proud of everything we have created and achieved in the first year.
“We also have extremely happy parents. On numerous occasions throughout the year we have sent out questionnaires and the responses have been outstanding – parents can’t praise the team enough for everything we do.”
A special birthday cake was made by the Highgrove catering team and pictured cutting it are Mrs Kershaw and Dr Lorraine Earps, Head Teacher of Queen’s College, along with members of staff and children.
