THE Bishop's Hull Army Cadets have raised more than £2,000 for charity by bag packing at a Taunton supermarket.

The cadets spent two days at Sainsbury's before Christmas to help shoppers pack their bags and to raise money for Go Commando. The team raised £2,691.07 for the charity that supports Royal Marines and their families.

As a thank you for their hard work the Platoon was visited this week by Lt Col Kevin de Val and were presented with five rucksacks for the cadets to use in their Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award expeditions.

Bishop's Hull Platoon currently have 44 cadets on roll of which 27 are doing the DofE challenge.
