SHOPPERS saw more than they bargained for in Cotford St Luke this morning.
A VW Polo caught fire close to the Co-op store in the centre of the village.
One fire crew from Taunton was sent to the fire at 10.05am and found a small fire within the engine compartment.
Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
There was 50 percent damage to the engine compartment.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
