MINEHEAD-based tea merchants Miles Tea has been names as the second most popular tea brand for independent retailers to stock in the UK.
'Best Brands' magazine listed Miles Tea in its top 5 in the 2016/17 edition, and operation director John Hall said he was delighted with the news.
"This is brilliant recognition for Food and Drink producers in Somerset," Mr Halls said.
"This is just the kind of positive news we need to kick start another season. We hope next time we might make the top spot."
Mr Halls said the secret to their success was down to the company's heritage and quality.
He added: "We have a genuine story to tell of family tradition along with great tasting blends. The Somerset coastal location is very important with our secret ingredient being 'West Country warmth'!"
