THE team at St Gilda's Care Home in Chard were delighted to hand over a cheque for £650 to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
The staff and residents at the care home based on Millfield had raised the money with a variety of fundraising activities and handed over the cheque at a special presentation.
The life-saving Air Ambulance, which has operational costs of around £2 million a year receives no direct government funding and relies entirely on support from the general public.
