BRIDGWATER'S Angel Place shopping centre let customers feel the love at the weekend with free gifts, competitions and themed children's craft workshops.

Hundreds of shoppers enjoyed complimentary heart-shaped chocolates and a chance to win shopping vouchers from Wilko and Bonmarche in the centre's prize draw.

Roger Smith, Angel Place shopping centre manager, said it was brilliant to see so many people taking part in the Valentine’s Day celebrations.

“We really wanted to treat the community during this special occasion and we thought this was the perfect opportunity to spoil our shoppers while they shop for their loved ones,” he said.

“All shoppers had to do was spend £30 in any Angel Place store and take their receipt to the rose garland archway to claim their sweet treat from the ‘Follow Your Love’ team.

"As part of the shopping centre’s event, parents and their children were able to enjoy the free fun at craft workshops.

“We had some incredible creations at our card-making station over the weekend,” Mr Smith added.

“More than 110 children decorated their very own cards with felt-tips, paint and glitter to give to their loved ones.

“Everyone had a fantastic time with the event team and we were delighted to be able to give out almost 75 chocolates,” Mr Smith said.

“We hope all our shoppers had a great time and enjoyed the Valentine’s fun as much as we all did.”
