SHEPPY'S Cider of Bradford-on-Tone added another prize to their growing list of accolades by winning a gold award for the premium and super-strength cider at an international competition in London.
The aptly named Gold Medal medium cider, made and blended by David Sheppy, the son of the firm's managing director, Richard Sheppy was judges by a panel of 20 experts from the UK drinks industry at the London International Beer and Cider Competition.
The judges included buyers and writers from all over the world, and handed the Somerset cider maker the award in the week of February 12, 1997.
The event formed part of a high profile International Food exhibition at Earls Court.
