A SPECIAL charity concert is behind held in memory of Minehead's former Bucks Fizz star Louise Doolan.

'Sing Out Louise' will feature acclaimed acts performing alongside talented local groups in honour of friend and fellow entertainer Louise.

Louise, who sang with Bucks Fizz during the late 90s and early 2000s, died of breast cancer aged 40 in June 2015 but was a regular on the Minehead stage and was influential in West Somerset singing groups.

The 'Sing Out Louise' audiences will be treated to an uplifting show starring Bucks Fizz and featuring tributes to Take That and Madonna.

Also performing will be vocalist Max Hutton, LA Dancers, Taunton Amateur Operatic Society, Fusion, Dunster First School choir and vocal harmony group Dynamix.

All of the acts appearing are linked personally and professionally to Louise and are all giving their services for free.

Profits from this event will be donated to the charity Hope for Tomorrow, a charity close to Louise's heart which gave her invaluable support during her battle with cancer.

Following her death, Louise's family travelled to Cheltenham to meet Princess Anne and collect a posthumous ambassador's award from the Hope for Tomorrow charity, having been treated by it's Mobile Chemotherapy Unit, known locally as the Bumble Bus.

There will be two performances taking place on Sunday, March 12, one at 2.30pm and another at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £8 and are available from the Regal Box Office which is open weekdays 10am to 3pm and Saturday between 10am and 1pm, or tickets can be purchased over the phone on 01643 706430.
