CRASH: There has been a crash near Wellington Monument
A WOMAN has been taken to hospital with a serious stomach injury after a crash near Wellington Monument.
Avon and Somerset Police were at the scene at 9am this morning (March 2) and the road was closed.
Two cars were involved in the crash, one car was in a ditch and the other stayed on the road.
A woman from one of the cars was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital with a serious stomach injury.
A spokesperson from South West Ambulance Service said they were called at 9.10am.
It is believed the crash took place near the Ford Street junction near Wellington Monument.
