HINKLEY C is creating an increased demand for warehouse space in Bridgwater, a leading property consultant has said.

With more than 1,200 workers already on site at the Hinkley Point C nuclear power station in Somerset, surrounding businesses are already registering a significant uptick in confidence, according to Bruton Knowles.

Will Nell from Bruton Knowles’ Bristol office said: “As is typical with many other locations there has been very little speculative construction of small business units in Bridgwater.

"Hence an ongoing focus on refurbished space which is immediately ready to occupy.”

Bruton Knowles are steering incoming businesses to Condor Quay in Bridgwater, where a 4,000 sq ft warehouse unit is available close to the A38 and J23 and J24 of the M5.

Businesses in need of a new base are also being steered to The Exchange - strategically located on Bridgwater’s Express Park.

The modern offices front the main A38 less than a mile from Junction 23 of the M5, and close to Bridgwater town centre immediately adjacent to the Premier Inn.

Bruton Knowles say the offices comprise 5,876 sq ft of highly flexible space which could be configured as individual offices or suites with flexible leases or inclusive serviced terms.

Facilities include on-site gym, café, day nursery, bookable meeting rooms and informal breakout areas. There is also ample free parking.

Mr Nell concluded: “Activity levels have risen since Hinkley C got the go ahead – and we have already seen a range of new business sectors increasing their profile in this corner of the South West.

"These sort of premises are going to be increasingly valued in servicing Hinkley-focused businesses.”
