PETER Andre, Taunton’s favourite adopted celebrity, has told the County Gazette he can’t wait to meet fans this weekend.

The former I’m A Celebrity Star, who will be at the Orchard Shopping Centre this Saturday, March 11 to launch his new fragrance “Timeless” and sign copies of his 2017 calendar for adoring fans, spoke to the County Gazette exclusively before his appearance.

The father-of-four, who is married to former Queen’s College student Emily MacDonagh, said: “Taunton is one of my favourite places and we come back as much as we can.”

And he said he was looking to telling fans in the town about his new range.

“I decided on the name Timeless as it’s a fragrance that anyone can wear,” he said.

“It’s such a lovely scent that can be used for all occasions.”

Peter shot to fame in the late 1990’s with his hit song Mysterious Girl, which reached number two in the UK singles chart.

Along with his successful music career, Peter has also added a number of accolades in television, staring on shows such as Strictly Come Dancing and This Morning, as well as his own reality show.

He added: “When I was young and doing my music, I was having the greatest time touring all over the world and playing at Wembley Arena was amazing.

“People didn’t really know me as I wasn’t in a place long enough.

“My reality show was great and showed people my funny side.

“As I’ve got older and had my family, people get to see the real me.”

And what else does Peter have coming up in his busy 2017 schedule?

“I have a few TV shows coming up this year and also some big gigs across Europe throughout the summer,” he added.

“I have lots of work with This Morning and Loose Women on ITV.”

Peter and Emily met in 2012 after her father Ruaraidh, performed surgery on him.

The couple got engaged shortly after the birth of their daughter Amelia in 2014, and welcomed their second child Theo last November.

He also has two children - Junior and Princess - with his ex-wife Katie Price.

Peter is renowned for being a loving father, but what does he find most difficult about being a parent?

He said: “Definitely sleep deprivation it really is tough.

“The unconditional love and just the fun I have with them all outweighs that though.

“I love being a dad.

“When Theo was born we stayed in Taunton for a couple of months, it’s one of my favourite places.

“I am so glad of the support from my fans and I am really looking forward to meeting them on Saturday.”

Peter will be at the Orchard Shopping Centre in Taunton from noon.
