THE owners of a pub devastated by fire in January raised more than £2,000 to thank crews who worked to save the building from 'total devastation'.
Owners of Combe Florey pub The Farmers Arms, Tim Young and Jane Bishop, teamed up with David and Kate Kenyon at Crowcombe Court to run a one-off event in a bid to thank firefighters who attended the devastating blaze.
More than 200 people attended 'The Farmers Arms On Tour' and a total of £2,222 was raised for The Fire Fighters Charity.

Mr Young said: "The Fire service were amazing and saved the Farmers Arms from total devastation.
"Since the fire we have been trying to set up a 'pop-up" Farmers Arms but this has proven logistically impossible and the repairs at the Farmers Arms will take months.
"We hope it will re-open in the Autumn. All is not lost however as myself, Jane and the team from the Farmers are taking over management of the Blue Ball pub in Triscombe from Friday, March 10 onwards."
Villagers were left devastated after the blaze tore through the thatch-roofed pub overnight on January 10 and 11.
