A SERIES of workshops will be taking place to support businesses in the area as part of "Get Digital" week (March 20-24).

The workshops have been organised by Taunton Deane and West Somerset Councils, and are aimed at helping businesses to become more competent users of digital technologies.

Both authorities are also supporting the wider Get Business Get Digital programme which offers the opportunity to take up one to one support to help implement what they have learnt in the workshops.

The workshops begin on Tuesday (March 21) at West Bagborough Village Hall with “Completing your First Online Self-Assessment”.

This workshop will give step-by-step advice on how to prepare your self-assessment form, what you need to provide and what records you should be keeping.

On Wednesday (March 22) at The Beach Hotel, Minehead, the workshop “Mobile Devices and Apps for Your Business” will help you discover how tablets and smartphones can help increase productivity and efficiency to transform your business.

On Thursday (March 23) at The Sanctuary, Watchet, “Using Design to help your Business Stand Out” will show how to use Canva - a free tool which allows users to make great graphics quickly and easily.

Lastly on Friday (March 24) at The Boathouse, Taunton, “Getting to know the Cloud” will give a firm understanding of this growing technology, exploring the different options available and the logistics of moving your business to the Cloud.
