PETS at Home in Taunton is to stop selling rabbits over Easter as part of a nationwide initiative to educate children on the importance of responsible pet ownership.
The ban between Good Friday and Easter Monday - normally the busiest time for bunny sales - gives staff the chance to ensure families understand the specific needs of rabbits through workshops.
Potential future rabbit owners will be able to learn about shelter, food and water, good health, appropriate company and the right living environment.
