KEN Loach’s Bafta Award winning film I, Daniel Blake was screened at the Engine Room in Bridgwater, raising £200 for Bridgwater Food Bank, Somerset Unite Community Branch are delighted to report.
The screening was put on by the Somerset branch of Unite Community to help the food bank which is dealing with an increasing number of referrals.
Somerset Unite Community chairman Glenn Cane said: “We are proud to support the important work done by the Bridgwater Food Bank, but we also want people to know that the misery caused by poverty is not necessary."
