FROG Lane in Langport was left blocked due to a building fire.

There were reports of traffic building up on the A378 near Bow Street where firefighters have been attending to the fire.

At 3.45pm it was confirmed the road had re-opened.

A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "Three fire engines from Somerton, Martock and Bridgwater were mobilised to reports of smoke coming from an outbuilding at a business on Bow Street.

"On arrival crews confirmed there was a fire in an outbuilding measuring 10m x 10m used as an oven and a refridgeration area. Crews used four breathing apparatus, two thermal imaging cameras,a hose reel jet, a covering jet and small tools to extinguish the fire.

"The fire was caused by the accidental overheating of the oven and caused 50% fire and smoke damage to the outbuilding and contents."
